Sports Fans Have Plenty of Excuses to Get to New Orleans This October
Looking for an excuse to get to New Orleans this month? How about getting out to see some football?
This weekend the Saints face off against the San Diego Chargers, who are first in the AFC West. The Saints have had a rough go of it so far this season, and they could use your support! The game doesn’t start until 7:20 on Sunday night, so that would still leave you plenty of time to explore the city during the rest of the weekend.
We’ve had absolutely gorgeous weather here in the Crescent City, and this weekend looks to be no exception. With temperatures in the mid- to low-80s, the days are great for getting out in the French Quarter for a nice walk.
If you’re a sports fan more in tune with college football, then you can catch Tulane games this month – first against the Southen Methodist University (SMU) Mustangs on October 13th and then against the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers on October 27th.
Of course, if you prefer the hardwood courts instead of turf, the Hornets are just getting started with the year. Preseason games will be in town on Oct. 9th, 24th, and 31st.
The Hotel Provincial currently has availability for these events, so make sure you book early to reserve your space. See you soon!
