Shrimp & Petroleum Festival
This Labor Day weekend festival is held in Morgan City, LA, a small town about an hour southwest of New Orleans. The town may be small, but the festival is not! Held September 1-5, there is a full carnival, live music, a 5K run, car show, arts & crafts show, mini kids parade, a shrimp boat parade and so much more! Seriously, this family-friendly festival has everything. See you there!
Louisiana Seafood Festival
We know a thing or two about seafood here in New Orleans and you will find some of the best seafood around at the Louisiana Seafood Festival. Held September 2-4 in City Park, this delicious festival features dozens of vendors and top chefs from around Louisiana. And of course, there will be live music. Because what's a festival in New Orleans without music? Featuring Flow Tribe, the Village People, Bonerama, Blood, Sweat & Tears and many more acts, you are sure to have a rockin' good time! And don't forget to check out the Art Village while you are there and do a little shopping. Proceeds from this festival will help support the Louisiana flood victimes. You do not want to miss this fest!
NOLA On Tap Beer Fest
Are you a beer aficionado? Or maybe you just like a cold one every now and then. Well, NOLA On Tap Beer Fest is perfect for you! Join 25,000+ beer lovers and sample over 400 beer brands, everything from local brews to microbrews. This is the biggest beer festival in the region! The fest will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 1pm-8pm at City Park. Not only will there be beer but they'll also be delicious food from some of the areas top vendors and of course live music all day! And the best thing about this fest is that it benefits the Louisiana SPCA. We will see you there!
Fried Chicken Festival
Introducing the very first Fried Chicken Festival! Come celebrate this classic Southern dish at Lafayette Square in the Central Business District on September 25th. Bring the whole family and listen to live music, vote on the Best Fried Chicken and have a blast! This festival is sure to become extremely popular and you can say you were there at the very beginning. Don't miss out on the fun!
Saints Games
"Who dat say dey gon' beat 'dem Saints?" It's football season and everyone in Nola knows what that means…our New Orleans Saints will be playing at the Superdome! On Thursday September 1 at 7pm, the Saints take on the Ravens in their last preseason game. Then on Sunday September 11, they play the Raiders at 12pm in their season opener. And on September 26 at 7:30, we take on our rivals, the Falcons, in Monday Night Football. There's nothing like seeing a Saints game in the Dome! Can I get a Who Dat?!
