Labor Day in New Orleans
It’s hard to believe with temperatures pushing well into the 90s, but the days of summer are numbered and Labor Day is right around the corner.
Labor Day weekend in New Orleans is a mix of one last weekend escape in the Big Easy before heading back to the grind of the work week and the festive celebration LGBT crowned Southern Decadence. Whichever type of weekend you’re in the mood for, New Orleans can provide that.
I’m looking forward to one last weekend of exploring my favorite parts of the Quarter, visiting my favorite shops along Royal Street, being a tourist (it never gets old!) in Jackson Square, dining in my favorite restaurants and sipping on a cool, refreshing drink as I just wander around. Of course, I have to mention the cool, refreshing pool in the courtyard of Hotel Provincial. It’s the perfect place to spend a hot afternoon after a day of sightseeing and before heading out for dinner.
Labor Day Weekend 2013 starts on Friday, Aug 30 and wraps up on Monday, Sept 2. Hotel Provincial still has rooms available for someone looking for a festive getaway or a relaxing weekend away from it all. Our hotel mixes the historic atmosphere of the French Quarter with modern amenities you deserve and expect.
We hope you can visit us, we look forward to seeing you for Labor Day!
