Easter In New OrleansEaster is an exciting time in New Orleans and there’s still time for you to be a part of it!

Here in New Orleans, we celebrate Easter with parades! Did you expect anything else?

This Sunday, there isn’t just one parade. No, this is New Orleans. There’s three parades starting at 9:45 a.m. and the last one marches into the early evening. We’re located right on the parade route for each, or a very short walk away.

For the kids, there will be an Easter egg hunt in the beautiful City Park. You can take the streetcar there and enjoy a beautiful Spring Day in New Orleans.

Plus, there’s the Easter Brunches at the many fabulous French Quarter restaurants. It’s a perfect excuse to explore New Orleans and your foodie side.

Of course, there's also mass at St. Louis Cathedral. The celebration is held three times on Sunday at the beautiful and historic church. Afterwards the church is open to the public for you to see all of it's architecture and stunning art like beauty.

If you haven’t already booked your hotel room for your Easter trip, I have some good news for you. Hotel Provincial has a handful of rooms available for this weekend. You can get away for the weekend or just stay for Sunday night. The weather forecast is looking great, 75 degrees with at least some sun. It’ll be a perfect weekend in the Quarter.

For those of you that are thinking of coming down for one of our festivals this spring, we have some rooms available for the French Quarter Festival and a few rooms still available for Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The French Quarter Fest this year features more than 800 local musicians performing on a number of stages throughout the French Quarter. It’s April 11-14.

Jazz Fest is two weekends full of music from local and national acts. This year’s headliners include Billy Joel, the Dave Matthews Band and B.B. King. Jazz Fest this year is April 26 to May 5.

If you’re thinking of coming down for either, now is the time to reserve your room. I expect us to be fully booked for both.
